Brant Food for Thought CRUNCH Day!
Hello Holy Cross School Familes!
This Wednesday, November 24th brings the return of CRUNCH day! A special event presented by Brant Food for Thought to raise funds for our Breakfast Program.
Our Grade 8 Food for Thought Student Helpers will deliver the apples to classrooms before the third block on November 24th. Students are asked to donate a loonie (but all will receive an apple/apple slices) to support Holy Cross breakfasts. Lead by Grade 8 Student Helpers through Teams, our whole school will start crunching at approximately 2:00 p.m.
The Brantford & County of Brant school that raises the most money will receive a reward and the class that raises the most (per capita) will also receive a reward .
This event provides the opportunity:
- to show how our breakfast program serves a balanced meal following the Canada's Food Guide.
- to discuss healthy snack choices
- to mention that the weekly menu is posted across from the bathrooms
Your Breakfast Program Team is always happy to receive healthy suggestions from students.
Our next hot breakfast will be Mr. Zareski's Pizza Week (Dec 6-10). Two classes per day will get homemade pizza for Early Morning Meal!
