Grade 8 Graduation Picture Day!

Tuesday, February 23, 2021 (All day)
Location:
Holy Cross School

Hello Holy Cross Families,

The following is important information about school and graduation photos.

When:   Tuesday, Feb. 23rd
Where:  In the gym at Holy Cross School

Mother Nature intervened on Tuesday, February 16th and due to the inclement weather schools were closed again. Timelines are very tight for our photography company to take pictures in all of their schools AND we want to take advantage of this opportunity while schools are open, so picture day for everyone, including Grade 8 Graduates, has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021.

Please see the attached flyer for more information about Grad 8 Graduation Pictures from the photography company about Tuesday. There is really not a lot for you to do at this time, but please do read the flyer.

Class Group Photo: The usual group class picture will not be taken due to the need for physical distancing, but we are working with the photography company to come up with another way for the children to have a photo collection of their classmates. Stay tuned for more information about that in the future.

Grade 8 Graduates:
Grade 8 students will have two different photos taken on Tuesday:
1. The regular classroom photo which is used for school records and you may of course purchase this if you wish.
2. Graduation photos – please see the attached flyer for important information about how to dress and how you will place your order. Each graduate will have their own gown and sash that no one else will have worn that day or for the previous 48 hours so all health and safety protocols will be followed.

Retakes: Please note that it will be much more difficult than in past years to arrange for retakes if your child is not at school that day. In fact, we might not even be able to have a retake day so we want you to be aware of that possibility.

COVID Safety Protocols: Please be aware that our health and safety protocols must still be followed. If your child has any symptoms based on the daily COVID assessment, your child cannot come to school that day, even for pictures.

Thank you for your attention for this. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Respectfully yours,
John McDermid,
Principal
