Dress Purple Day

Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (All day)
Location:
Holy Cross School

Every October, Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario raise awareness about the important role that individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families through the provincial Dress Purple Day campaign. The campaign is more important than ever, since the COVID-19 pandemic has created additional stressors for families, and in some cases has increased risk for the well-being and safety of children and youth.

On Ontario Dress Purple Day, schools across the province will wear purple to celebrate communities that care for kids. This year, Ontario Dress Purple Day will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

In the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, we strive to promote that our Catholic Schools are safe places for children to grow and to impart a knowledge that is infused with the Gospel. The focus of this day for our schools is to make the connection between our Board theme of “Rebuild, Restore, Renew Together” and the importance of caring for children, youth, and families. As Catholic education communities, we are stronger together. On October 27th, students and staff are encouraged to wear purple clothing to show support for vulnerable children, youth, and families.

Please join us by wearing something purple on Wednesday, October 27th to show children, youth, and families that they are here to help!
